Manchester United vs. Manchester City Live Stream: Watch Online Derby English Premier League Match Streaming Free Old Trafford

Manchester United and Manchester City are playing in the Manchester Derby on the English Premier League schedule on Tuesday night and the matchup comes live from Old Trafford starting up at 3:45 pm ET and 8:45 pm local time streaming on the NBC Sports Live Extra website and it gives Wayne Rooney and David Moyes a chance to gain back some credibility in the EPL.

Manchester United has had a very tough season under Moyes and they come in after a nice win against West Ham United over the weekend and that came on the road after two goals from Wayne Rooney in the first half, including a score within the first 10 minutes of the match. Man City comes in as the better team and the favored team and United has not played well against the top teams in the league, losing against the top nine apart from a November win against Arsenal and now is their chance to get back some of that momentum on Tuesday night in the always emotional derby. The Red Devils are finally playing well and they come in after outscoring opponents 5-0 in the past two matches, a 3-0 win in the Champions League against Olympiakos and the win in the EPL over the weekend against West Ham.

Manchester United has a near impossible hill to climb and they come into the match 12 points back of City ion the standings and this is a chance to pull things a bit closer and with a win they would come under 10 points heading into the back stretch of the schedule. The team is dealing with a number of injuries but they were able to overcome them last week and now Moyes is hoping those players can be fit enough on Tuesday night. The team lost Robin van Persie after he scored three goals in the UCL deciding match and now he will be out for a month and that comes at a rough time for United, although Rooney has picked up the slack in scoring after Van Persie went down.

Last year the Derby saw Manchester City win at the Etihad Stadium in September earlier in the year and now United has the chance to return the favor. Manchester City got a big win over the weekend with a 5-0 victory against Fulham and that moved them up on the table into third place and while they are six points back of Chelsea, they have the advantage because they have played three less matches and that could come up big as the schedule pulls towards the back end. Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini knows that Moyes will be pushing hard for a win in front of the Old Trafford faithful and Rooney will have to be central to that on Tuesday night.

Chelsea remains in first place by four points over Liverpool and Manchester City is hanging tough right in the top part of the standings and they are in great position heading into the end of the season. Arsenal is next in the standings behind Man City and they have a lead over Tottenham and Everton, while Manchester United is seventh on the league table and looking to get as many points as possible down the stretch.
