Johnny Manziel Pro Day: LeBron James, Michael Vick Praise Texas A&M Quarterback as No. 1 Draft Pick, Oakland Raiders, Houston Texans, Vikings 2014 Options

Johnny Manziel was the talk of the NFL on Thursday as the former Texas A&M quarterback and Heisman trophy winner held his Pro Day. Highly regarded as the No. 1 overall pick this May, Manziel gave his best argument for being the first quarterback taken off the board. Everyone was present for the event including a former president and governor. A few professional athletes also weighed on Manziel's potential after the event.

Twitter was buzzing at ESPN live streamed Manziel's Pro Day as almost every NFL team had a representative there to watch. Newly signed New York Jets quarterback Michael Vick was the first to weigh in. The veteran tweeted out, "Johnny Manziel will be a star in the NFL. I can't wait to watch him play!!!!"

Vick likely sees a lot of himself in Manziel. Both register in at a similar height. Vick was primarily the first mobile quarterback in the league and paved the way for the skillset that Manziel possesses. The veteran was also highly touted as the No. 1 overall pick and ended up getting taken first by the Atlanta Falcons.

Miami Heat star LeBron James also took time to weigh in on the event. James and Maziel have struck up a recent friendship, possibly bonding over McDonalds since they both star in the company's recent commercial. James tweeted out, "Just finished watching my bro @JManziel2 pro day!! Don't take him if u want 2. He's a flat out STAR! Accuracy on point! #StriveForGreatness."

Manziel is currently signed to James' marketing company, LRMR. The quarterback credits James for helping him through a rash of off-the-field incidents that included partying rumors and an NCAA scandal involving autographed merchandise.

Manziel himself felt pretty good about his Pro Day showing. The quarterback told media present that he believes he can make any throw required in the NFL. While not a traditional pocket passer, Manziel praises himself for being able to make a play anywhere on the field at any time.

"I can make any throw on the field and hopefully compete with anybody," Manziel said, via NFL Network. "I just wanted these guys to know that my focus is football. This is my life, this is what I want to do, and I've never been more dedicated or more committed in my entire life. I understand the challenge."

Almost every team was present to see the quarterback. According to NFL.com, the Minnesota Vikings appeared highly interested, as did the Cleveland Browns. Both teams need a quarterback. No word if the Houston Texans, the team with the first pick, liked what they saw in Manziel or not.
