Arsenal comes in at fourth on the league table with Chelsea leading, while Manchester City is currently behind Liverpool and ahead of the Gunners as the season pushes to a close. Arsenal comes in after losing to Bayern Munich in the Champions League and they are out before the quarters and they come in after a draw against Swansea City last week at home at the Emirates and they also got beat badly by the Blues at Stamford Bridge and now they are looking for a win at home against one of the toughest teams in the EPL. The team won over Everton before the draw against Bayern and they won against Tottenham on the road at White Hart Lane and now they match up with Man City before playing against Everton against and this time it will be at Goodison Park.
The team comes in with a big semifinals matchup looming at Wembley Stadium against Wigan in the FA Cup and and then the team plays against West Ham before Hull City and then the Gunners end the season with Newcastle, West Brom and Norwich City. Arsene Wenger has been guiding the Gunners for 1,000 matches and after leading the table early in the season they have fallen back to Chelsea and now a late push could get them back into the mix and Wenger said that the club still feels that they are in title contention. The team comes into the day in fourth place and they are six back and that means they desperately need a positive result on Saturday and Olivier Giroud comes in leading the team in scoring still.
The defeat against Chelsea was tough to swallow, but they are in contention for one title this year and can win another and they have the chance to stay up in the mix in the Premier League standings if they can get past Yaya Toure and Man City. Manchester comes in after winning the Derby against Manchester United and the Red Devils rebounded with a nice win at Old Trafford on Saturday and now City will try and continue their strong play over the past couple weeks, as they have won three matches in a row in the EPL after dropping the Champions League match to Barcelona and they haven't surrendered a goal in that stretch either, outscoring opponents 10-0 in that span.
Arsenal has a tough test with Man City and the Gunners come in looking to bounce back in front of the home fans at Emirates Stadium. Man City hosts Southampton next on the schedule and then has a huge match with Liverpool at the Anfield and that could end up having huge implications down the backstretch of the year and at the top of the league table Manchester City plays against Sunderland and West Brom after that at home before two matches on the road and then they return home to play Aston Villa and West Ham United to finish the season.
