Premier League Fixtures 2012-13: Important Dates for Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham

The Premier League Fixtures have been released. Games will kickoff on August 18th. Manchester City will begin their defense as champions and face Southampton in the first game of their season.

The following week, Manchester City will face Liverpool. A month later, on September 22nd they will host Arsenal. 

They have a balanced schedule throughout their season as they face a mixture of weaker opponents in between important matches.

They will host the first of two derbys on December 8th, when Manchester United visits.

The toughest stretch for Manchester City comes at the end of March when they face New Castle and then travel to the Old Trafford on April 6th, for the second derby match against Manchester United.

Manchester United will have a tougher schedule as they will host Tottenham on September 29th then play against Newcastle on the road on October 6th.

On the 30th they play in London against Chelsea to wrap up the month of October. Then they travel back home to play against Arsenal on November 3rd.

Their schedule does not toughen up until April and May, when they play at Arsenal on April 27th then host Chelsea on May 4th. 

Speaking of Arsenal, their schedule is filled with inciting games. 

They travel to Manchester, where they will play The Citizens on September 22nd. The following week they host the first derby against Chelsea. On November 3rd they travel back to Manchester, this time to play the Red Devils and then once again host the first game of the derbys between Tottenham two weeks later.

On December 29th they begin a tough stretch of games as they host Newcastle and on January 12th they host Manchester City. A week later on the 19th they play a derby at Chelsea. 

Rounding out the important dates of the top four teams in the league is Tottenham. They immediately start the season facing Newcastle, the team that finished right behind them in points last year.

They play a derby against Chelsea on the 20th of October. Following their November 10th matchup with Arsenal, the Lily Whites play against West Ham on November 24th and then three days later face Liverpool at home.

Tottenham should have a good month of December where they can prep for their Manchester United match on January 19th. 

Their schedule does not soften up until May.

On March 2nd and 9th they face Arsenal and play in Liverpool. Then On April 13th they finish the derbys with Chelsea and they host Manchester City on April 20th.
