Oakland Raiders Schedule 2014: Preseason Games Set For Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Packers, Seattle Seahawks In NFL Exhibition Dates

The Oakland Raiders are heading into a very important season in 2014 and the preseason will be the first chance to see the team in action and with the schedule released, the opponents for the exhibition slate include the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks for Reggie McKenzie and Dennis Allen's boys.

The Raiders went 4-12 over the past two seasons and now they are looking to improve after signing a ton of free agents, including Justin Tuck and LaMarr Woodley as well as James Jones and they will get their first chance against the Minnesota Vikings. The dates are tentative as of now, but the first game will be in the early part of August and that will come between August 7 and August 11 on the schedule for the first game and that will be at Minnesota for the first matchup.

The second game will be against the Detroit Lions and that comes between August 14 and August 18 and that will have two teams looking to get back to the playoffs this upcoming season after being out last year. The Week 3 game is always considered a big audition and an important matchup and they will be playing against McKenzie's old employers in the Green Bay Packers and that should be a nice test for the team as they work to get Matt Schaub integrated after making the trade from the Texans. That game will be on the road as well and it comes on August 22 at 5 pm.

The finals game of the schedule will have the Seattle Seahawks visiting Oakland and the Super Bowl champions will be in town on August 28 as the final game of the preseason. Training camp starts earlier in the summer and that will have the start of things between July 23 and July 27 and comes before the preseason schedule.

According to ESPN.com, the team has games this season set, just not the exact schedule and they will play at home against the Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals, San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins, which will be a home game in London, while the away games have the New England Patriots, New York Jets, Cleveland Browns, St. Louis Rams, Seattle and the Chargers, Broncos and Chiefs
