Michael Phelps is back in the pool and now the 2016 Rio Olympics in two summers in Brazil could be in the mix for the swimmers, as he has ended his retirement and will compete for the first time since London 2012 in Arizona at the Arena Grand Prix and that will be at the end of April and he will join up with fellow Americans Ryan Lochte and Katie Ledecky for the competition.

Phelps previous started training again last fall after retiring after the 2012 London games and it also made news when he re-entered the U.S. drug-testing program, which would make him eligible to compete again. After doing that, Phelps had to wait for six months to get officially back in action and now he is and this comes as he is 29 years old and getting "over the hill" by many swimming standards in the Olympics.

Phelps is the most decorated athlete and he has 18 gold medals and 22 medals total while competing in three summer games and now he could add another one. Phelps won eight gold medals in Beijing for the Olympics and in London he performed very well.
