We may never know If Floyd Mayweather would beat Manny Pacquiao in the ring, but he has now beat him at the bank.

BBC Sport reports that Mayweather netted $85 million over the past year and is currently at the top of Forbes list of the 100 highest-paid sports personas.

Mayweather, who is currently serving a 12 week jail sentence, even blew past a resurging Tiger Woods and the world's highest paid footballer, David Beckham.

Woods's spot on the list (third) is quite impressive.  In the wake of his sex scandal and tarnished image, Wood's golf game suffered a considerable drop off.  Only recently has he begun to resemble the Woods of old.  Even in his damaged state, Woods was able to earn a considerable amount of money.

Pacquiao, who has been the subject of boxing's most recent controversy, notched a respectable $62 million and finished second.

Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo hauled in $42.5 million while Phil Mickelson topped off at $47.8. 

Lebron James may be only two wins away from his first ever NBA Championship, but he is $32 million behind Mayweather at $53 million.

The next NBA star after James is Kobe Bryant who took in just over $52 million. Peyton Manning rounds out the top 10 with $42.4.
