With last night's second consecutive one-hitter, R.A. Dickey is at the top of a few of pitching's most important statistics.

He threw nine scoreless innings against the Baltimore Orioles, dropping his ERA to 2.00, tying Atlanta Braves pitching, Brandon Beachy, for the lowest in the Majors.

Dickey had 13 strikeouts and tied Justin Verlander for the most in the baseball. 

He also has the lowest WHIP (Walks/Hits per Innings Pitched) standing at 0.89. Dickey has only walked 21 hitters and allowed 67 hits.

With last night's win he also picked up his 11th win, the most by any pitcher in the 2012 season so far.

The 37-year old knuckleballer is having a season to remember. He is the only pitcher in baseball history to not allow an earned run in five consecutive starts.

Dickey is dominating teams with his devastating knuckleball.

Two-time Super Bowl champion, Eli Manning, threw out the first pitch of the game on Sunday. He was hoping that he could catch the right-hander, to witness for himself what the pitch was capable of doing.

With last night's performance, R.A. Dickey could have solidified his role as the starting pitcher in the All-Star game. 

Matt Cain should take over after the fourth inning. 

If he is throwing another scoreless game, Dickey should just be allowed to throw all nine innings. 

As a knuckleballer, Dickey can probably pitch until he is 45 and can throw 200 pitches a game.

With his manager, Terry Collins, being added to the NL staff, Dickey will have a familiar face rooting for him to start for the National League in the mid-summer classic.
