NFL Schedule 2014 Season: Seahawks and Broncos In Super Bowl Rematch As ESPN and NBC Get Playoff Games

The NFL schedule is set to be released this week and that is always a fun time for fans and while no official date has been set, the league has announced that the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos will be playing a Super Bowl rematch, while the ESPN Network will air its first playoff game in 2014 with a wild card matchup, while NBC has added one of the divisional round games.

The league released some news about the schedule already and that included the new games added to the networks. Teams already know who they will be playing this season, but the actual dates and times of those games have yet to be revealed and that has given some excitement to fans, especially the Seahawks, who will get the chance to play against the Broncos again this year and they also likely will kick off the season in Week 1 like the NFL enjoys doing with the Super Bowl champs.

ESPN.com is reporting that ESPN now will get the first playoff game for the network in their history, as the league can air a playoff game on the network as part of a deal that the two sides signed a couple years ago. The network released an announcement saying they were excited about getting the game and on top of that, they also have the 2015 Pro Bowl, which will not be in Hawaii, but at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale and they will air that game as well.

The release also says that Mike Tirico, Jon Gruden and sideline reporter Lisa Salters will be the team that calls the game in the playoffs. According to Pro Football Talk, NBC will get one of the division round games in the postseason and they also will have one of the wild card games and the Super Bowl for this year after it was on a different network last season and now they are back in the rotation. The report also says that they will have the rights to one divisional game from 2014 through the 2022 season.
