English Premier League Table: Barclays EPL Standings Has Liverpool First Over Chelsea, Manchester City As Reds Lose Blues Match At Anfield Sunday

The English Premier League table has Liverpool in first place and they are tops in the Barclays EPL standings over Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal with just a few weeks left and on Sunday the Blues and Reds will play the most important match of the season at Anfield as leading scorer Luis Suarez tries to clinch the league title heading into the final stretch.

Liverpool has been playing better than anyone in the league this season and after getting hold of first place following Chelsea's fall from the top and after the loss against Sunderland at home at Stamford Bridge, they have not given it back and now the lead is five points with just three matches left to go battle for the Blues. The Reds come into the game as the highest scoring club by far in the league and Suarez is the top scorer and they have 80 points and they are up over the Blues, who now have 75 after that loss. Manchester City is close with 74, while Arsenal has 70 and they will need some luck to catch the top teams at the end.

Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City are up over Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham and the Gunners have the lead over those teams by one point and seven respectively, meaning they need to hold off Everton as they push towards the end of the season. Manchester United is next on the league table and they have just 17 wins this season in 34 games played and that was a disappointment and that also led to David Moyes being fired and that was after the loss at Everton. The team has three straight home games at Old Trafford and that could be why they decided to make the move to Ryan Giggs for now.

The team is up ahead of Southampton, Stoke City and Crystal Palace, while at the bottom of the table, Cardiff City, Fulham and Sunderland are in relegation. Liverpool has been playing the best of anyone this year and they have the longest winning streak and unbeaten stretch of any team, as they have won 11 in a row and have not lost in 16 matches and they also currently have the most wins, fewest amount of losses and by far the mot goals in the league, with Suarez tops among players with 30.

The two teams play at Anfield on Sunday and that comes before another big match for Man City as they visit Selhurst Park against CP. Liverpool has just two matches after the game against Chelsea, while the Blues have a Champions League game to deal with as well against Atletico Madrid. The Blues play against Norwich and Cardiff to finish the season, while Liverpool has CP and Newcastle United.
