Chicago Blackhawks Tie NHL Playoff Series 2-2 With St. Louis Blues Overtime Win, Stanley Cup Champions Ready For Game 5 Victory

The Chicago Blackhawks are now tied in their western conference NHL playoffs series 2-2 with the St. Louis Blues after winning the last two games at the United Center and now the Stanley Cup champions are ready for Game 5 after the overtime win on Wednesday night after the winning goal from Patrick Kane.

The team started off the series slow and they lost a heartbreaker in overtime to the St. Louis Blues and now they have the chance to bounce back for a 3-2 lead in the series. The Blackhawks had to make comebacks last season as they pushed towards a championship and now they will have to do it again. Corey Crawford was great against the Blues in Game 4 and he had 30 saves, while Ryan Miller was also very good, but he let in the winner and now the teams are looking to win two of the next three to advance.

The Montreal Canadiens in the east are the only team through after sweeping the Lightning and now the Blues and Blackhawks will play a minimum of six games in this series. The Thursday schedule of games has the Boston Bruins playing against the Detroit Red Wings and they lead the series 2-1, while the Avalanche and Wild are also playing in Minnesota and that series is 2-1 as well. The San Jose sharks can sweep the champs from two years ago, as the LA Kings are down 3-0 in that series.

Chicago and St. Louis next will play on the Friday schedule and that game comes at 8 pm on the NBC Sports Network and has the two teams heading back to Missouri for Game 5. The series has been hard fought on both sides after these two teams battled for the division title during the year and now the Stanley Cup champions are looking to make a comeback from 2-0 down, which they had to do last season as well.

Patrick Kane was the leader in the game in overtime on Wednesday, as he had two goals and an assist for a three point performance and it was his overtime score that won the game for the team. The other games on Thursday include the Rangers playing the Flyers for Game 4 of their series and that is 2-1 in favor of New York right now and that starts up at 7 pm and will be on CNBC. The Dallas Stars and Anaheim Ducks are also playing that night and they are tied at 2-2 after the Stars won the last game and that will be at 10:30 pm on the NBCSN.
