LA Clippers Rumors: Magic Johnson Interested In Buying Team After Donald Sterling Racist Comments As Clips Getting Sold?

The LA Clippers and owner Donald Sterling are in the spotlight after his racist comments came out and now LA Dodgers owner Magic Johnson said that he would be interested in purchasing the team is Sterling was forced to sell and this comes after Johnson was mentioned and was the reason for his racist rant and now the NBA is in a very tough situation.

The league is still looking into the situation regarding Sterling and punishment will come and the future could hold even more, as the owners could force him to sell the team. According to Yahoo Sports, sources have said that Magic Johnson would be interested in purchasing the team if the Sterling family was forced to sell and that would be an amazing turn of events, as Johnson is one of the biggest figures in the NBA and in LA.

The Clippers are already losing sponsorships and even though it will be hard to force Sterling to sell, he will have to do something, as fans and players will not want to come and associate with the team. The Clippers players are now in a tough situation and this could play out for some time. Sources said that Johnson is interested in buying the team if it comes up for sale and it could be the same situation that happened with the Dodgers when Magic and his group bought the club.

Johnson was mentioned in the original argument and a picture of him was the reason for Sterling's comments and now he could really be front and center. Adam Silver has a big test and Johnson along with many other players and execs have come out to denounce the comments and this will be a big deal for the NBA. Johnson and his group may be the best option for Sterling to sell to, as the league needs to get him out of the league.

Sterling bought the team for $15 million and now he could sell for close to a billion dollars.

"This is 100 percent Magic's plan," a league official intimately involved in the buying and selling of franchises told Yahoo Sports.
