The Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals are playing an NL central division game on Monday night and it starts up at 8:15 pm ET and comes live from Busch Stadium as the Brew Crew have been the most surprising team in the league and they are first in the division.

The Brewers have Yovani Gallardo on the mound against Michael Wacha and the last time Gallardo pitched he had a nice game with seven innings and one earned run, while Wacha gave up two runs and pitched four innings against the Mets after striking out the first nine batters of the game. The central is shaping up to be one of the toughest divisions in baseball this year, with the Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates and Cardinals all making the playoffs last season and the Brewers starting off better than anyone this year.

The Brewers come in after being shut out by the Chicago Cubs and they are starting the series now with the Cardinals and that game on Tuesday will have Lance Lynn and Kyle Lohse on the mound. The Brewers come into the game 18th in the league in runs and in the top 10 in batting average and they are also in the top five in slugging percentage and 19th in on base percentage. The pitching has been excellent and they rank first or second in ERA, quality starts and WHIP this season already and they are third in BAA and are pitching very well overall.

The Cardinals come into the game after a win against the Pirates and they are starting off slow offensively, ranking 26th in runs and 21st in batting average, while they are also 20th and 26th in on base and slugging percentage. The Cards are ranked third in ERA and eighth in quality starts and the team is also third in WHIP and second in BAA and they have been pitching very well.
