The LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors are playing on the NBA schedule for the playoffs on Tuesday and the Game 5 matchup has a live stream from TNT online from TV from the Staples Center and things start up at 10:30 pm ET and comes as Donald Sterling was banned for life from the NBA and the Clips franchise after his racist comments and now things turn to basketball as Los Angeles looks to get a 3-2 lead with the series tied up at 2-2 heading into the matchup.
The Clippers come into the game after getting beaten soundly by the Warriors in Game 4 and that came after all the mess with Sterling over the weekend and that was one reason why the team did not play well. Now that the ban has been given and the fine hit on Sterling, the players can concentrate on basketball and while there are many questions left to figure out, the league has made a move and now Chris Paul and Blake Griffin can get back to playing the game they love and Doc Rivers now can get his team set for the game on Tuesday night.
The series returns to the Staples Center and things are all tied up at 2-2 and the Clippers can keep their home court with a win and that comes after they lost the last game on the road. Chris Paul was front and center as head of the NBAPA and now he has a leadership role on the court as well for his Clippers. Paul has been averaging nearly 20 points per game in the series and Blake Griffin has been the best player, putting up 26 per contest and now both of those players will have to step up. Steph Curry comes in after a career best performance in Game 3 from long range and he will try and get that hot shooting to continue on Tuesday for Game 5.
The schedule on Tuesday has the Clippers and Warriors as the late game and the early matchup could have a series finish, as the Washington Wizards and Chicago Bulls are playing and that has Wash up 3-1 in the series and they can close things out. It's a shame that the NBA doesn't re-seed, as the Hawks now are in position to beat the Pacers and they should really be playing the Heat if they win, but that won't happen, as the Heat are waiting for the Brooklyn Nets and Toronto Raptors series to finish to see who they will play.
The Memphis Grizzlies and Oklahoma City Thunder are also playing on Tuesday and that game comes from OKC and has the series tied up 2-2 as well. Kevin Durant had a rough performance in the last game, but Reggie Jackson played well enough to get the team over the hump and that matchup will be on NBATV and comes starting up at 9 pm ET after the Bulls and Wizards game starts up at 8 pm on TNT. The NBA playoffs have been great and now the focus can be on basketball after everything that happened with Sterling and clearly Silver and the NBA were ready to bring the hammer.
