The Clippers have had to play with a ton on their minds while dealing with the Donald Sterling situation and after getting crushed in Game 4 when the news came out, the team pulled together and they won game 5 and now they can close things out on the road, where they were a solid 23-18 during the season. Paul and Griffin will need to play well and the atmosphere in the Staples Center will be insane if the team gets to a Game 7, as the fans were great for the team in the last game after Adam Silver dropped the hammer.
The Clippers held tight in the last game after leading past the first quarter and DeAndre Jordan was the star in the last game, scoring 25 points and adding 18 rebounds, while Paul had seven assists in the game. The Clippers will need another solid game from those dudes and the Warriors will be looking to take things back to LA for another game with a win on Thursday. The last game saw the Clippers totally shut down Steph Curry and that left Klay Thompson to pick up the slack and he had 21 points, while Draymond Green had 11 rebounds and Andre Iguodala had eight assists to lead the way.
Doc Rivers and the future of the team are a bit up in the air, but the team knows that they have a game on Thursday and if they let the Warriors survive, they could be kicking themselves if they lose in Game 7. The Clippers were the top scoring team in the league during the regular season and now they will need to play consistently to get things going on Thursday and while Rivers may not return if Sterling remains the owner, the team can send him out on an amazing run with a win here to advance to the next round.
