Kentucky Derby Schedule 2014: TV Channel, Race Start With Post Time Odds, Starting Field and Live Stream At Churchill Downs

The Kentucky Derby 2014 schedule has Saturday as the big day at Churchill Downs and the 140th running of the race comes on the NBC TV Channel and the live stream is from the Sports Network Live Extra and the post times, odds, prize money and horse entry list can be found below as the sports world descends on Louisville with their crazy hats.

The Kentucky Derby will start early on Saturday with coverage from NBC and the race will be starting up at 6:24 pm and now the post positions are out and the live stream coverage will come from the NBC Sports Live Extra website and one horse will not be running, as Santa Anita Derby runner-up Hoppertunity had an injury and now the horse will be out of the race. The sport has been under fire all year after a report from the NY Times about abuse of horses and now the race will go on as it always does and that part of things will likely be ignored by everyone involved as usual.

The horse had 6-1 odds to win and now the Rebel Stakes winner will be out of the race and that leaves the rest of the field to battle things out. Vicar's in Trouble comes in with 20-1 odds and he will be ridden by Rosie Napravnik and the horse is a front runner and she comes in after a good performance last year and she could be the first female jockey to win the race after coming in fifth last year and she did very well and now a lot of attention is on her coming into the race.

California Chrome is the favorite in the race with 5-1 odds and the horse is in fifth position, while Vicar is in the first position and that is always a tough one, while Wicked Strong had 6-1 odds and that hose is in the 20th position, while Harry's Holiday is in second position at 50-1, while Harry's Holiday, Uncle Sigh and Danza lineup before Chrome. The rest of the lineup has

Samraat, We Miss Artie, General a Rod, Vinceremos and Wildcat Red rounding out the top 10, while Dance With Fate, Chitu, Medal Count, Tapiture, Intense Holiday, Commanding Curve, Candy Boy, Ride On Curlin and Wicked Strong round things out.

The race is expected to be very exciting this year and NBC is looking for a big number, as horse racing has lost most of its popularity in the US, but the Derby is always watched by many. Victor Espinoza is riding the favorite and he has already won the Derby over a decade ago and his trainer could be the oldest to win the Derby.
