NBA Playoffs Standings: Miami Heat Win Over Brooklyn Nets For 1-0 Series Lead LeBron James and Big 3 Get Victory

The Miami Heat won over the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday night to take a 1-0 series lead in the eastern conference semifinals after a nice game from LeBron James and the score was 107-86 and now Miami has the inside track in the series after taking Game 1 and Game 2 will be on the schedule on Thursday in South Florida.

LeBron James scored 22 points in the game and Chris Bosh added 11 rebounds, while Dwyane Wade had five assists to lead the Miami Heat and now they are up 1-0 in the series. The Nets were sluggish on defense and tired after playing in Game 7 against the Toronto Raptors and now they are down in the series heading into Game 2. The matchup was a two points game heading into the second quarter and over the final two quarters Miami outscored the Nets by 18 points and the team held Kevin Garnett scorless.

The NBA schedule on Tuesday has two big games, as the Brooklyn Nets will play against the Miami Heat and the Portland Trail Blazers will play the San Antonio Spurs for Game 1 of their series in the second round and it starts up at 7 pm on TNT for a doubleheader and that comes ahead of the Game 2 matchups with the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers as well as the LA Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Brooklyn Nets advanced into the second round after winning against the Toronto Raptors in Game 7 and that came right down to the wire and Paul Pierce ended things with a block at the end of the game. Jose Johnson had 26 points for the Nets against 28 points for Kyle Lowry and the Nets hung on by one point to win the series 4-3 and Jason Kidd became the first rookie head coach to win a Game 7 matchup on the road.

The San Antonio Spurs won over the Dallas Mavericks in their Game 7 matchup and now the team will face off against the Portland Trail Blazers after they won in memorable fashion. Damian Lillard hit the game winning shot with less than a second left against the Rockets and that came after Chandler Parsons gave the team the lead right at the end. The Blazers won their first playoff series since 2000 and now they could advance to the western conference finals if they can beat the Spurs.

The number one seed in each conference had to play a Game 7 and they both won over the eight seeds, with the Pacers beating the Hawks and the Spurs winning over the Mavericks. The Monday matchups start at 7 pm for the second round, while the Tuesday games start with the Brooklyn Nets playing the Miami Heat in South Florida. The Nets went 4-0 against the Heat during the regular season and that comes before Portland and San Antonio's Game 1 matchup in Texas.

The games on Wednesday are on TNT before the coverage jumps to ESPN and that will be on Thursday with the Nets and Heat playing at 7 pm and the Blazers and Spurs playing the late game. Oklahoma City and LA play Game 3 on Friday at 10:30 pm ET.
