The Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox are battling it out for the city in their series on Wednesday night and the ESPN baseball matchup is live at 8 pm ET and the game will be at U.S. Cellular Field and streaming from the WatchESPN and has John Danks taking on Travis Wood in the matchup and the interleague series comes as the Sox are second in their division and playing well to start the MLB season.
The Cubs come into the game after losing to the White Sox and they are hoping to turn things around against their crosstown rival and they are just 11-20 on the season and they are fifth in the NL Central. The team is ranked near the bottom of the league in runs, batting average and on base percentage as well as slugging percentage, while the pitching is doing fairly well and they are in the top half of the league in ERA, quality starts and BAA.
The White Sox have been off to a much better start compared to last season and they are hitting the ball well and they have the second ranked offense in runs and they are seventh in batting average and in the top 10 in slugging percentage. The pitching is up and down they are 26th in ERA and in the bottom of the league in WHIP.
