The Indiana Pacers look like a completely different team. For the first time in eight playoff games, they look like the team that was leading the Eastern Conference at the beginning of the season. The team lost its way towards the end of the regular season and struggled heavily against the Atlanta Hawks in the first series of the playoffs, but Roy Hibbert has found his way and the team now leads the Washington Wizards heading into Game 4.

The Pacers bread and butter has been defense, something they failed to demonstrate through eight games. The Wizards put up 102 points in Game 1, but only managed 82 points in Game 2 and 63 points in Game 3. After giving up an average of just 92.3 points per game, the Pacers finally improved back to that team that ranked second among the 30 NBA teams. 

Game 3 really showed the improved Pacers. The team limited Washington to just 12 points in the third quarterback as they only managed 30 points in the second half overall. Washington only mustered together shooting 25 percent from beyond the arc and 33 percent from the field. John Wall failed to keep up his All-Star status, putting up seven turnovers in the third quarter alone.

Indiana was able to get back to how they beat the Washington Wizards at the start of the season. In November, they held the Wizards to just 73 points while keeping them at 66 points in January. That was while the team was in the midst of a 46-13 record and a .780 winning percentage. Hibbert also looking completely revitalized in Game 3. After putting up zero points in Game 1, he managed 28 in Game 2 and 14 in Game 3. He helped boost the offensive charge, something the Pacers are desperate to keep going in Game 4.
