New York Yankees vs. New York Mets Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming Game

The NY Yankees and the New York Mets are playing on the MLB schedule for the Subway Series on Wednesday night and the matchup at Citi Field comes after the Yankees lost the first two games at home and the game on ESPN starts at 7 pm ET and has a live stream from WatchESPN for the matchup as Masahiro Tanaka and Rafael Montero face off.

The pitching matchup for this game is great, as Tanaka has not lost since before last year and he has been everything and more for the Yankees, while the arbitration clock now starts for Montero, who will be part of the Mets rotation and future when Matt Harvey makes it back next year. The two young stars now face off on Wednesday in Queens and the matchup comes as the Mets have won six Subway Series games in a row and that is a record.

The team won all four matchups last season and embarrassed the Yankees and now they are doing the same thing and it couldn't come at a worse time. The Yankees are down three pitchers in their rotation and one of those is CC Sabathia and that has made things tough and without Ivan Nova and Michael opines in the rotation they have had to turn to Vidal Nuno and other unproven players and now the team is second in the AL East and just 19-19 after a mini slump here from the Brewers series and the Mets.

The Yankees actually play another NL team next, as the Pirates are coming to town after the Mets series and now the Yanks are hoping to salvage something from the Subway series with the two games at Citi Field. Curtis Granderson has now hit home runs in two straight games and he is looking like he is happy with the Mets, at least when they play at Yankee Stadium and now he will look to continue his hot hitting in the matchup and he will face off against Tanaka for the first time and now Mets fans are wondering where that has been all season.

The Yankees have been hitting the ball well, just not when it counts the most and the team is ranked in the top 10 in most offensive categories. The Yankees are ninth in runs scored and third in batting average and they are also eighth in on base and sixth in slugging percentage this season. The pitching has been up and down apart from Tanaka, who is 5-0 and hasn't lost in forever and the team is 25th in ERA and 23rd in quality starts and that has started to tax the bullpen as well.

The team has gotten great play from Jacoby Ellsbury, but Brian McCann has to start hitting and he did that last night, while Carlos Beltran is injured. Beltran has been up and down to start his Yankees career and the team needs more production from him as well. The Yankees really need this game and they need to start turning it around.
