Aaron Hernandez has been charged with another two murders and he will face the court in an arraignment next week and that comes before the trial starts in the Odin Lloyd murder case.
The press conference saw police and investigators release information about the double murder, including witnesses and evidence about how the grand jury brought in the charges. Hernandez is facing charges in the Odin Lloyd murder and now he is facing charges for two more murders and he could be in jail for a long time. The Lloyd trial will come first and now the double murder charges make the defense in that case more complicated for Hernandez's legal team and the press conference alleged that Hernandez was the shooter in the case.
The police reported that the victims, Safiro Furtado and Daniel Abreu, were not connected to any type of gang or gun running scheme, which was reported last year after the shooting was made in connection with Hernandez. Hernandez and the two men were at the same night club on the night of the murder and police said that the men did not know each other before coming into the club, but that something occurred there and after leaving the club, Hernandez is alleged to have followed the men in their car.
There were five people in the car and the SUV allegedly driven by Hernandez pulled up alongside and shot a .38 revolver into the car and the two men in the car suffered multiple gunshot wounds and were shot in the chest and the head. Two backseat passengers ran from the car, while a third man was also shot and he survived. The investigation developed last June when connections were made after a car was found and that car was in Bristol in a Hernandez relative home. The car in the garage was tied to the murder and a gun was later recovered and found to be connected to someone connected to Hernandez.
Hernandez's cousin Tonya Singleton was also charged with something regarding the case and she previously was held in contempt for issues related to the Odin Lloyd murder. Singleton was asked to testify before the grand jury about the SUV and she was given immunity, but she refused to testify and that is why she was also charged. Hernandez was charged with first degree murder n the original case and he was connected to Lloyd from Jenkins, as her sister was dating him at the time of his death and Jenkins has been in court supporting her man every time he appears. Another chance will come next week and then in June he faces another court appearance in the Lloyd case and that comes after he appeared earlier in the year about the judge deciding on a gag order and now he will be arraigned for the double murder.
