Spain vs. France - Euro 2012 Watch Online Live Stream

Spain and France will face off in Saturday's Euro 2012 game. Spain are the heavy favorites, but it is interesting to note that the French have never lost competitively to the Spanish; France beat Spain at the quarter finals of Euro 2000 and World Cup 2006, and also broke Spanish hearts by defeating them in the final of Euro 1984. The game is live on ESPN 2 and can be watched online through live stream on ESPN3.

Despite Spain's horrid record against France in competitive games, that statistic probably can be taken with a pinch of salt. The current Spain side do not carry the baggage and disappointment of past Spanish teams, and have not even conceded a goal in knock out competitive soccer since 2006 (ironically that was against France!).

Spain are the favorites for Euro 2012, but have attracted some criticism so far at the tournament. Their fluency has not been as breathtaking as in past tournaments, yet saying that, Spain scored more and conceded less than every other team in the Euro 2012 group stages so far. So even a Spain not at the top of their game is still a Spain likely to beat any team they face.

Germany have taken most of the plaudits, with their fluid passing breaking down defenses at ease. However, no one can write off Spain. But they will have a dangerous French side to overcome today. France were unbeaten in 23 games until they placidly lost to Sweden 2-0 in their final group game. It's uncertain how much of an indication that defeat will be of the French side that will come out today against Spain. But one thing's for sure, there's no worse team to come up against when lacking form and confidence than the Spanish. They are a team who will keep the ball for long periods and just wear down defenses. If France have not recovered their self belief then it could be a rout for the Spanish.
