Cleveland Cavaliers Trade Rumors: Kyrie Irving Deal With Tristan Thompson Over Joel Embiid, Andrew Wiggins, Jabari Parker Draft Pick?

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been mentioned in numerous trade rumors since getting the number 1 overall NBA draft pick and a Kyrie Irving trade could be an option along with a deal for Tristan Thompson if the team does not pick Joel Embiid, Andrew Wiggins or Jabari Parker, as the Cavs could also deal the pick to teams like the Boston Celtics, LA Lakers or Philadelphia 76ers.

The Cavaliers are coming into the draft after getting the number one overall pick for the second straight year and they now have the chance to trade that pick or hang onto it and take one of the top players in the class. According to ESPN.com, the Cavaliers have received numerous calls about the draft pick and this comes as the class is one of the deepest in recent memory and it also has talent at the top. Pro Basketball Talk reported that Joel Embiid was set to be the number one pick in the draft before getting foot surgery and now the whole top part could be thrust into chaos.

The team has interest from the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics and LA Lakers in the top pick, as Andrew Wiggins or Jabari Parker are available and now the Cavs have a major decision to make. PBT reports that the 76ers are willing to trade up from number three to pick Wiggins, while other teams are also interested. The Cavaliers took Anthony Bennett with the number one pick last season and he did not play well at all and now the team needs to make sure they don't mess up this selection.

The Cavaliers won the top pick for the third time in four years and now Cleveland is bringing in David Blatt to be their head coach and he comes over after some great success in Europe and the team thinks that he can be a solid influence on their younger players. Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters were mentioned in trade rumors last year and now the two players could get moved as the Cavaliers try and build back the team.

The Cavaliers had another tough season in the east and missed the playoffs and now they have to find a way to convince Kyrie Irving to stay. The team has been mentioned in the Kevin Love trade rumors and they also have been talked about as a destination once again for LeBron James. LeBron coming home is very unlikely and the team is also likely not going to pull off the Kevin Love trade, but since they have the first overall pick, anything is possible.
