Wimbledon 2014 is heading into the third round and the results and scores from the All England Club in the second round has Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic and Grigor Dimitrov into the third round on the men's side of the bracket draw, while the women's results has Venus Williams along with Petra Kvitova and tomorrow Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova will try to join them.
The first big upset of the tournament is David Ferrer, as he is now out after losing to Andrey Kuznetsov and that is a bad loss, especially after he made it to the French Open final last year. Ferrer lost to Nadal this year in the French in the quarters and now he is out in the second round and that snaps his 17 major streak of getting into the third round and he was done in a five set loss to the 118th ranked player who got in as a qualifier and now he is done.
The tennis schedule continues on Thursday and third round coverage comes live from ESPN late in the week. Nadal and Federer could be on a course to meet each other, while Djokovic and Murray are together on their draw, along with Sharapova and Williams. Williams has dominated the Russian forever, winning 15 straight matches and Williams is looking to bounce back after her early loss at the French Open.
Murray won last year and he coasted to start his title defense and now after snapping the 77 year streak of a British man winning at Wimbledon, he will try and do it again. Nadal and Federer as well as Djokovic have won here before, as has Williams and Sharapova.
