Chicago Bulls Trade Rumors: Doug McDermott Traded From Denver Nuggets For Gary Harris At NBA Draft Before Carmelo Anthony?

The Chicago Bulls are in a reported deal for a trade with the Denver Nuggets for Doug McDermott at the NBA Draft for Gary Harris and coming into the event the team was looking at trade deals heading into the NBA draft 2014 and the team may want to try the Kevin Love deal with the Timberwolves, as they could move Joakim Noah, Carlos Boozer, Taj Gibson, Tony Snell or Jimmy Butler in deals to clear space for him or Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James, as those players are looking to team up.

The Bulls just dealt with another season of Derrick Rose being injured and they are looking to make a major move and Anthony has been a target. According to Pro Basketball Talk, the team may trade or amnesty Boozer and they have also considered moving Noah, but that is less likely. Gibson, Snell and Butler could be used to trade for draft picks if the team opts to do that on Thursday, while they are competing with numerous teams for Anthony, James and Love.

Pro Basketball Talk reports that teams like the Knicks, Lakers, Hawks, Miami Heat and Clippers have all looked at adding the two stars, but so far nothing concrete has come from that. ESPN writes that Anthony is about to take a free agent tour and he will be looking to visit with the Bulls along with numerous other teams, including the Rockets and the Mavericks.

The Knicks feel that they still have a chance to sign Anthony and they are still going after him hard and they just traded Tyson Chandler. The move of Chandler and Ray Felton makes the team have more cap space and they could look at more deals to try and get LeBron and Anthony in the fold. . Getting Melo would give the team four of the top 15 players in the league and that would be a tough team to stop come next year.

The Bulls are going to have to make a move with Carlos Boozer no matter what happens, as he is making over $16 million and the way he played last year does not justify that salary. The team will either trade him or use the amnesty clause on him and that is due to the fact that they need relief to get Melo or to get Love to sign an extension. Love averaged 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds last season and factored into the MVP voting and now he would like to test the market after not making the playoffs in each of his first six seasons.

The Knicks are hoping to bring back Anthony on a contract and it will be tough to get it done, as he is being chased by the Bulls, Mavericks, Houston Rockets and now the Miami heat as well. ESPN.com reports that Miami has had internal discussions about going after Anthony if he opts out this summer and that could make a Big 4 with LeBron James down in South Beach. While that is very unlikely because of all that needs to happen, Miami has shown they are willing to think outside the box when it comes to building a team and James has said that he is intrigued by the idea of playing with his longtime friend in Anthony.
