World Cup 2014 Results Round of 16: Brazil Wins Against Chile In Shootout To Advance In Knockout Stage

The World Cup 2014 results has the round of 16 starting to move along, as Brazil won against Chile in a penalty shootout to win 1-1 and 3-2 and now they advance in the knockout stage as the favorite from South America and an entire nation held its breath as the team finished out extra time and the penalty kicks.

Brazil did not play their best game by a longshot and now the team is through and this comes after they had a draw against Mexico that was scoreless in the group stage. Toronto FC goalkeeper Julio Cesar was fantastic and his saves in the penalty shootout and the post helped the team win and they took the game in Belo Horizonte and they now have the chance to keep things going as the host nation.

Brazil has not lost a match at home in over 50 tries and that dates back to 1975 and now the team has another win against Chile and they have knocked the team out for the second straight Cup. Neymar had the clinching goal in the penalty shootout and Chile was very close to getting it after putting the ball on the post and the team also nearly lost in extra time after a shot from Pinilla and now the team is through.
