Chicago Cubs vs. Boston Red Sox Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming Game

The Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox are playing live on the ESPN MLB Wednesday night baseball schedule and the game starts up streaming at 7 pm ET from Fenway Park and the interleague series has the Cubbies in line for a sweep after a 2-0 win and a 2-1 victory in the past two games and this is big for the Cubs as they try and build back their franchise.

The Red Sox can't afford to lose games to a team with this bad of a record, but the Red Sox are not doing too hot either and they come in now on a tough streak and they are just a couple games better in the win column over Chicago anyway. The Cubs have 46 losses and so do the Red Sox, but they have two more wins and now the team is hoping to at least salvage one game of this series and this one will be on national television.

David Ortiz spoke about the lights at Wrigley and the idea of playing so many day games and he said that was one reason why the Cubbies have been struggling so much and now they have the chance to pull the sweep and this will be very nice for Theo Epstein after the way he was treated on his way out. The Red Sox have a ton of young talent and they are willing to go down this year for the sake of the future and while they won the World Series last season, it is looking more like an aberration than anything else.

The team is talented for sure, but now in the past four seasons they have: collapsed and missed the playoffs to cost Epstein and Terry Francona their jobs, finished in dead last basically after a terrible season under Bobby Valentine and then won the World Series the next year and now they are a bad team in a so-so division. That's the only reason why the team is still in it, as the Blue Jays have not pulled away in the division yet, and the Red Sox come in having scored two or less runs over the past seven games and they have won just three of those contests.

The Red Sox have been struggling offensively all season and they are ranked 26th in scoring and the same in batting average, while they are just 27th in slugging percentage as well. The pitching has been up and down and that is one reason why they are in the mix and the AL East has not been a tough division and the Yankees keep losing and the Blue Jays haven't run away yet.
