Houston Rockets Rumors: Rajon Rondo Trade Option If Jeremy Lin Traded and Chandler Parsons, Chris Bosh Signed?

The Houston Rockets are heavy into making moves this offseason and a trade for Rajon Rondo with the Boston Celtics could be an option if the team keeps Chandler Parsons and signs Chris Bosh now that LeBron James has signed with the Cavaliers and not the Heat, as the Rockets are looking at trading Jeremy Lin and Daryl Morey wants to make a splash and he loves what Rondo does on the court and he envisions a big 3 with Dwight Howard, James Harden and Rondo or with Bosh in that spot.

According to ESPN.com, the Rockets are now trying to clear the deck for Bosh and Parsons and that means Jeremy Lin is likely gone and now things shift to Carmelo Anthony and his free agency decision. The Rondo deal is likely off for now with Bosh and Parsons to deal with and now Houston may try and work out other deals to ensure that they get their man in Bosh after James signed with Cleveland. The news about the Cavs changes everything and shifts free agency into high gear.

James made his announcement on SI.com and now Parsons is likely getting his deal matched and Bosh is likely signing the max deal with Houston. Bosh was offered a max deal for the Rockets and now he likely will be taking that and that means Dwyane Wade is all alone and screwed in Miami for now. This is getting crazy.

Here is some older news before LeBron, with the Miami Heat and Timberwolves interested in Parsons. Parsons also has interest from the Miami Heat, but they likely cannot afford a deal for him with the money they have to spend on the Big 3. The Rockets want to keep Parsons, but if he gets an offer that's too much for them, he could leave and that is what happened when Houston gave Jeremy Lin a massive deal that the Knicks could not match.

Yahoo Sports reported the news about Parsons and the Timberwolves, writing that Parsons could be the player that gets caught up in the fallout of the Kevin Love trade and the Carmelo Anthony sweepstakes, as the Rockets are going after both players and the teams that miss may want to try and sign him.

Marc Spears at Yahoo Sports writes that the Rockets want to re-sign Parsons to a deal, but they are also engaged with Carmelo Anthony and with the Mavericks, Bulls and Lakers all chasing Melo, what the Rockets do could take some time. Parsons averaged nearly 40 minutes last season and showed that he is a strong three point shooter and he is a player Houston does not want to give up.

The team tried to unload Omer Asik last season the Celtics, but the deal went nowhere when the team asked for Parsons and he is a player that GM Daryl Morey doesn't want to lose. The Rockets and Timberwolves could end up working out a Kevin Love deal, but there is also a chance that the Wolves wait until the season to make a trade at the deadline.
