The PGA Tour Leaderboard and European Tour Leaderboard ate live on Sunday, as Justin Rose won the Aberdeen Scottish Open, while the John Deere Classic has Tim Clark and Brian Harman leading a group that includes Zach Johnson, Scott Brown, Steve Stricker, Jerry Kelly and Jordan Spieth and now that is into the final round, while Rose won after a six under in Round 4.
Rory McIlroy started off well and ended up having a solid run, while Phil Mickelson now comes into the British Open looking to win the major after claiming the title last year. Rose won back to back tournaments and now he has some momentum heading into the major next week.
The European Tour leaderboard has the Scottish Open into the final round it comes after Rory McIlroy had the lead over a number of players to start the tournament, including Luke Donald and Phil Mickelson from Royal Aberdeen as he prepares for the British Open Championship next week at Royal Liverpool, which will also have Tiger Woods and Adam Scott in the mix.

To open the tournament, McIlroy had a great day and started up with a seven under par with a 64 in the first round and now he is in the mix to hang onto the lead heading into the weekend. The weather was rough with wind and some cold temperatures, not unlike what the British Open will be like, and McIlroy thrived, putting up a very solid score with just one bogey and eight birdies on the day and now he is in first place to start the tournament. The Scottish Open is a major warm-up for the British Open and getting a win here would be a huge boost to any of the players, especially McIlroy.
McIlroy takes a one shot lead into Friday over Ricardo Gonzalez and Kristoffer Broberg, while Donald leads a group at 67 and three strokes back, while Mickelson was in the top 10 after Round 1. McIlroy has been off to a good start at most of his tournaments this year and his major issue has been finishing them and now he has put up another solid score, going for a round of seven under in the first for the fourth time this year. McIlroy has had a 63 three different times this year and he also set the course record on Thursday with a 64.
McIlroy said he felt good most of the day and he felt that this was a good warm-up for the upcoming tournament at the British Open. Mickelson is looking to get things back together after having a disappointing finish at the US Open and he put up a three under par to start things off. Mickelson won the event last year when it was at another course and he comes in after being the defending Open Championship champ and will be looking for two in a row after taking Muirfield.
McIlroy had a dreadful year last season and that saw him lose his number one ranking to Tiger Woods, who won five times last year but has been a mess this season. McIlroy has played much better and he has been off to good starts many times, including in Dubai and also at the Honda Classic, but not win either of those. McIlroy made his way to the final group in Dubai but did not make it at the end, while he lost in a playoff at the Honda and now he is looking to get things together ahead of the British Open. Last year McIlroy once again started well, but he ended up with a 78 later on and was out of it.
