London Olympic Trials: Usain Bolt Beaten By Yohan Blake Yet Again

Yohan Blake got the better of previously unbeatable Usain Bolt for the second-straight time, winning the 200 metre Jamaican Olympic trials in even more impressive fashion.

Blake beat Bolt in the 100 metres a couple of days back, and won again in the 200 metres on Sunday. The 22-year-old Bolt's training partner caught up with the world record holder on the straight and then held off his illustrious compatriot's challenge to win in 19.80 seconds.

The defending 100 metres and 200 metres Olympic champion, finished 0.3 seconds behind Blake in 19.83 seconds. Warren Weir took the final spot, finishing third in 20.03.

Blake said Bolt, who is great friends with Blake off the field, was a big calming influence before the race.

"He (Bolt) said, 'Congratulations good run, you won. You're the better man on the day,' and I just gave him thanks because he has always motivated," Blake told reporters after the race.

"He told me coming into the race to keep calm and that's what I did."

Bolt, who suffered from cramp after the race and is understood to be not 100 per cent fit, said: "I'll have to figure out what I did wrong and work on it.

"I'm the Olympic champion so I have to show the world I am still the best.

"It's not like I was blown away, I know what I need to do to get it right.

"I just have to get my stuff together.

"It's all about putting in the work. I need to figure out what I did wrong and just work on that."

In the women's race Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce completed a double by adding to her 100 metre win with a 22.10 second victory in the 200.

Sherone Simpson (22.37) and two-time defending Olympic champion Veronica Campbell-Brown (22.42) finished second and third respectively.
