British Open 2014 Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming Championship Golf ESPN Tournament Tiger Woods

The British Open Championship 2014 tournament is live from Royal Liverpool and the coverage is on ESPN and WatchESPN for the live stream coverage as the next PGA Tour major starts Round 1 at 4 am ET and 9 am local time as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Adam, Scott, Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose compete for the Claret Jug.

Woods has had a tough year and he is coming back from an injury, but he has done it before at Royal Liverpool and now he gets another chance after last playing in the Quicken Loans tournament. Woods missed the cut there, but he said he felt healthy and now he can show off if he is or not as Mickelson defends his championship from last year. Woods played a practice round at the course and he comes in after back surgery and that could play out like the 2008 Masters when he won the US Open and if he does it would finally break his drought.

The 14 time major champion has been out of that for quite some time now and he has only played two competitive rounds since March after missing the cut last week. Woods said he still felt playing at Congressional was worth it and that his main focus was coming back for the British Open after missing the Masters and the US Open and he won here eight years ago and he now plays with Angel Cabrera and Henrik Stenson on Thursday.

Mickelson comes in after winning it last year and Woods is hoping to return to form from last season, as he won five times on tour including three before the Masters. Woods did not win any majors and now with his injury he has just two chances this year. Liverpool could be a good shot but it won't be easy and now Henrik Stenson, Justin Rose, Bubba Watson and Jason Day are in position to get number one in the world depending on how it all shakes out.

The tournament has coverage on ESPN and the first round will be on Thursday and then things pick up on Friday once again early. Saturday continues things and Sunday has the final round and all coverage will be on ESPN, WatchESPN and ESPN Radio for the duration of the tournament at Royal Liverpool. McIlroy is coming in playing well and he is looking to win here and perhaps Phil has some magic left.
