The MLB Schedule finally picks up again on Friday after the All-Star Break 2014 and the division leaders in the standings are all in action and the TV start time for the early matchups comes after 7 pm on the calendar.
Friday starts the second half of the season following the break and things open with the NY Yankees and Cincinnati Reds, Brewers and Nationals, Kansas City Royals and Boston Red Sox, Cardinals and Dodgers, Phillies and Braves as well as the Giants and Marlins.
The Detroit Tigers have the biggest division lead in all of baseball and right now the central division in the AL is the only cleat race and the Tigers are the ones up over the Royals by 6.5 games out of the break. The Orioles are first in the AL East, the Dodgers are in the NL West lead, the Brewers are tops in the NL Central, Nationals and Braves in the NL East and the Athletics are tops in the AL West.
