The Vancouver Whitecaps and FC Dallas are playing live on the MLS schedule on Sunday and the game is from BC Place in British Columbia and starts at 5 pm ET as the two teams matchup heading into the back stretch of the Major League Soccer season and the teams right now are in playoff position and trying to keep it going and this comes ahead of the Portland Timbers game later in the day.

These two teams are in playoff position right now and the Whitecaps head back to Vancouver after a road trip and they had a 1-1 draw in their last game and Dallas is going to be tough, as they have not lost in five games. Dallas won against the New England Revolution at home and now they hit the road to matchup with Vancouver and that is always a tough place to play. Dallas has played well overall against the Whitecaps in franchise history and Vancouver comes into the game looking to get some points to stay in playoff position.

The Whitecaps come into the matchup at sixth in the conference in the west and they are right there with the LA Galaxy and ahead of the Portland Timbers. The west has a great rivalry between the three teams along the northern pacific coast in Seattle, Vancouver and Portland and this season the Sounders are in first place in the west. Seattle leads Real Salt Lake by six points and the rest of the conference is close with RSL in second ahead of Colorado, Dallas and Los Angeles. Vancouver is in sixth ahead of Portland and they are ahead of Chivas USA and San Jose.

The eastern conference this season has Sporting Kansas City leading DC United and they are leading Toronto, Columbus and the New York Red Bulls in playoff position. The New England Revolution are next in the standings ahead of the Philadelphia Union, Chicago Fire, Houston Dynamo and Montreal Impact. The Whitecaps got points in their games on the road against Toronto and RSL and they want to keep that streak up and this will be a tough matchup with Dallas.
