In Day 8 of Wimbledon Andy Murray (4) advanced to the Quarterfinals.
Murray, the last British player standing in Singles tournament, defeated the 18th seeded Marin Cilic in three straight sets, 7-5, 6-2, 6-3.
With the victory, Murray joins Novak Djokovic, Florian Meyer, Roger Federer and Mikhail Youzhny in the Quarterfinals.
Murray is in great position to be the first British man since Bunny Austin to make it to the Finals. Austin represented Great Britain at Wimbledon in 1938.
It is the third year in a row for Murray in the Quarterfinals at Wimbledon.
Florian Mayer, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and David Ferrer also advanced to the Gentlemen's Quarterfinals.
In other action around tennis, Serena Williams advanced to the Semifinals after defeating former champion, Petra Kvitova in their Quarterfinals matchup.
Williams won in two straight sets 6-3, 7-5. It will be the seventh appearance she makes in Wimbledon Semifinal.
With her elimination Kvitova will not be able to defend her title and a new female player will take hold of the Wimbledon Cup.
In the past three years Kvitova and Williams have combined to win it all at Wimbledon.
Angelique Kerber, from Germany and ranked 8th in the tournament joined Serena in the Semis after taking over one of the three vacant spots.
Two more matches left to be decided in the Ladies' Singles, which will fill in the remaining two places.
