Manchester United and Real Madrid are playing live on the International Champions Cup schedule on Saturday from Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor at 4 pm ET on FOX and the match is streaming live online from Fox Sports Soccer 2Go and the game has Man U and Real as two of the most popular teams in the world with names like Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo and Madrid is coming off of a UCL title this year and the Red Devils are looking to bounce back after their EPL play last year.
The Big House in Michigan can hold over 100,000 people and the stadium is ready for the two teams and Manchester United comes in looking to play well and while this is a preseason tourney, both are taking it seriously. Man United and Real both have been up and down in the ICC so far and each side has new additions, including the Red Devils bringing in Louis Van Gaal as the new manager.
Real Madrid has Ronaldo and Gareth Bale along with James Rodriguez now and they should be very strong again after winning the Champions League and nearly winning the La Liga title. United have put a focus on defense this summer and while they have been solid overall, there is room for improvement and Rooney is looking to have a big season and they scored seven goals in their match with the Galaxy and are hoping for a performance like that against Real Madrid.
Real can't make it into the finals after their previous results, but the team still knows this is a good test against top European competition and chances are Manchester United plays much better than they did last season. David Moyes did not last the season and now they have a number of new players and new tactics coming into things. Real Madrid is allowing Bale and others to take things easy along with Ronaldo and while they will play, the team is concentrating on the Spanish Supercup coming up
Los Blancos has very high expectations and Man United is happy for the competition and they want to get to the finals and van Gaal said that he was glad his team could play against top teams from Europe. The team played against Inter and AS Roma and now they have Real and Luke Shaw comes in looking to play well and the team has high expectations for him.
The final of the International Champions Cup will be from Miami at Sun Life Stadium at 8 pm ET and has the Pool A winner against the Pool B winner and that will be for the ICC trophy. Real Madrid can't make it all the way, but they still have big games ahead this month, as they will play against Atletico Madrid in the Cup and that comes after they beat the team for the UCL title.
