The Ottawa Redblacks and Calgary Stampeders are playing live on the CFL schedule this week and the Canadian Football League matchup is from McMahon Stadium in Alberta and starts at 7:30 pm ET and the west division side isn't taking the east division lightly despite their record and this one could be an interesting matchup with former teammates facing off.
Ottawa comes into the game on a two game losing streak and they are just 1-4 in the east, while the west division has Edmonton and Winnipeg on top and Calgary is in third and they can pull into a three way tie with 10 points in the division with a win. Ottawa comes in looking for a win and Henry Burris is looking to have a solid game and he comes in with just four touchdowns and three interceptions and the team is hoping he can turn it around in this matchup.
The Stampeders have said that they will not take Ottawa lightly in this game and quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell is looking to bounce back after the first loss of the season last week. Ottawa has just one win and Calgary is favored right now and Ottawa is coming into Calgary for the first time and they are underdogs and the Stampeders lost last week in a close game against the BC Lions in an upset and they would like to put that aside now.
The west division has been the weaker of the two this season, but that doesn't mean that the teams have given up on anything and games here could be massive for when the standings build in the fall. The Argonauts are in first place with a 2-4 record and they have won one game in a row, while everyone else in the division is on a losing streak. Ottawa comes in with two straight losses and their offense has scored the least amount of points on offense this season.
Calgary has the best defense in the league and they have allowed just 77 points this season and have scored 123 and that could be big in this game. Edmonton is in first place in the east division and they are tied in points with Winnipeg and they each have five wins on the season and now Calgary is looking to join them and they should win this game. The teams know that the summer matchups can be big and this one will be on ESPN from the WatchESPN website for the CFL this week.
