Los Angeles Lakers Free Agent Rumors: Eric Bledsoe Trade, Michael Beasley, Jordan Crawford Options If Steve Nash Traded?

The LA Lakers have brought in Byron Scott and now the team has more moves to make, as names like Eric Bledsoe, Michael Beasley, Greg Oden, Ramon Sessions and Jordan Crawford could be free agent targets and this year the team also could look at a Steve Nash trade after acquiring Jeremy Lin in a summer trade deal.

According to ESPN.com, the Lakers have worked out Michael Beasley and the team also is looking at potentially adding more free agents, including Jordan Crawford. The Lakers have done a good job of retaining their free agents and they have put a solid team together for Byron Scott. Pro Basketball Talk reported that the Lakers looked into an Eric Bledsoe deal, but the team did not go for an offer sheet since they felt that the Suns would match the offer.

The Lakers have made a number of moves this summer and in top of retaining most of the free agents, the team signed Carlos Boozer after he was amnestied by the Chicago Bulls, while they also added Jeremy Lin in a trade with Houston. The team signed back Wesley Johnson along with Xavier Henry and the team also kept Nick Young after he set career highs last season and led the team in scoring.

The Lakers also looked into Michael Beasley and they have been linked to him this offseason as a player to add for depth and this comes after he played for the Miami Heat last season. Reports from Pro Basketball Talk and ESPN wrote that the Lakers were impressed with Beasley and they said he looked good and while he had some rust, he could be a potential option for the team. Byron Scott was officially signed this week and now the team is looking to finish out the roster after signing Carlos Boozer and trading for Jeremy Lin.

The addition if Boozer is not like signing Chris Bosh or Carmelo, but his impact could be immense this season for the Lakers lineup. The team lost Pau Gasol to the Chicago Bulls and now he can come in and make up for his production a bit, as Boozer still put up solid numbers last season in 30 minutes per game. Boozer was an overpriced player with the Bulls and that is why they used the amnesty clause on him , but with the Lakers at the price he is in on is a bargain and helps with the loss of Gasol.

The Lakers made a number of free agent moves this offseason, including signing back Nick Young, Ryan Kelly and Wesley Johnson along with Xavier Henry. Adding those players back along with Carlos Boozer and Lin gives Byron Scott some flexibility and he also can give Bryant a rest when he needs it so that he can stay healthy going forward. The Lakers need Bryant to stay on the court and while they aren't expecting much from Nash, he could be very valuable in a reserve role if he too can stay healthy and able to play.
