Aaron Hernandez Girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins Wants Perjury Charges Dismissed As Fiance Guilty Of Lying?

Shayanna Jenkins, the girlfriend and fiance of Aaron Hernandez, is looking to have the perjury charges levied against her in the murder case of Odin Lloyd dismissed by the court according to the Associated Press, as her lawyers submitted a motion looking to get the charges thrown out.

According to the AP, the motion was field in Fall River asking for the charges to be dismissed regarding the perjury charges that Jenkins is facing. The report says that the lawyers feel that the prosecution did not provide enough evidence to the grand jury for charges and this comes as Jenkins was expected to be in court this week. Jenkins will now be in court next week and the report says that lawyers claim she lied nearly "30 times" to the grand jury regarding the murder investigation.

Jenkins claims that she did not remember or recall what she did with a large box she was seen leaving the house with following the murder. Police feel that Jenkins may have knowledge about the murder weapon in the crime and this comes as Hernandez and Lloyd were connected through Jenkins' sister.

Hernandez has been held since last year on first degree murder charges in the killing of Odin Lloyd and he also has been charged with two other murders. Hernandez was been denied bail since he was arrested and this news about Jenkins has been going on for a while and authorities think that she lied numerous times to the grand jury in the investigation.

The gun in the Lloyd murder has not yet been found and the police think that Jenkins may have disposed of the gun and knows of its whereabouts. Jenkins was seen taking a bag out of the home the day after the murder and when she returned, the bag was no longer in her car. Jenkins was accused of possibly getting rid of evidence and also of lying to the grand jury and that is where the perjury charges came from.
