Premier League Table Standings 2014: Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool Lead EPL After Week One

The English Premier League Table Standings to start the 2014-15 season has one week in the books and that means winning teams are in the lead and that has Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Swansea City, Aston Villa, Tottenham and Hull City all with three points and various goal differentials, leaving the Blues and Man City on the top for now.

Chelsea comes in after having a top four finish last season and they had their chances to take the top of the EPL table, but the team couldn't get it done. Man City comes in after winning the whole thing last year and now they are looking for another title. Arsenal won their first match over Crystal Palace and they are also into the Champions League and looking for another top four finish this year.

The Gunners had the lead on the EPL table for most of the first half of the season and eventually the team dropped off and now they are looking to get Arsene Wenger some hardware. The Reds are coming back after the transfer of Luis Suarez and they had a very strong season and were very close to a title, but they couldn't get it done at the end. Replacing Suarez will be tough, as he was the top scorer last season and now Raheem Sterling and Steven Gerrard will have to step up again.

After the top four, Swansea, Aston Villa, Hull City and Tottenham have three points, while four teams have one point. Everton, Leicester City, Sunderland and west Brom all have one point on the season so far, while everyone else is out with zero points. Manchester United is looking to get back on track this season and they have Louis Van Gaal coming in and they really need to turn things around after the tough season they had with David Moyes last year.
