Andy Murray is on the brink of making history. 

Sunday afternoon, Murray will face Roger Federer for the Wimbledon championship. 

Both players have completely different stories.

For Federer, he is making his record 8th Wimbledon appearance and is chasing his 7th title, which would tie him with Pete Sampras for the most in history.

He also possesses 16 Grand Slam titles. With a win, Federer will take over first place in the world rankings. 

He has not won a Grand Slam title since winning the 2010 Australian Open. The last time Federer won Wimbledon was in 2009. 

Murray has made three consecutive Semifinal appearances in Wimbledon from 2009-2011. For the first time in his career, he has moved onto the Finals in the tournament. 

He has done an excellent job in 2012 and continues making the fans of Great Britain proud after being the first British player since 1938 to qualify for a championship at Wimbledon. 

However, this is not enough. Murray is playing for his first ever Grand Slam title. With a victory, he could be the first British player to win at Wimbledon since 1936. 

Great Britain has been without a Wimbledon champion for over 70 years.
