The Trojans come into the game after dealing with some tough issues, but head coach Steve Sarkisian has his team focused and this is the best team coming in for a couple years and they are ranked at number 15 in the nation. The team is one of the favorites in the Pac-12 and they have a tough slate of teams to matchup with, including Oregon, UCLA and Stanford in the conference.
Cody Kessler struggled at times last season and Marqise Lee is now gone after being drafted and now the team plays against Fresno State to start the season. The team has two road games in a row against Stanford and then against Boston College and those will be big matchups for the team. The Trojans have a game against ranked opponents in two of the first five matchups with Stanford and Arizona State and then the team has Arizona in October and that is on the road.
That starts a streak of three road games in four weeks and those are against Colorado and Utah as well as Wahsington State and the one home game is against Colorado. The next game is against Cal and that is at home before the biggest matchup of the season against UCLA and then the team has Notre Dame on their home turf after that road game against their city rival.
Last season the team went 10-4 and they won six games in their conference and lost three and they also went 3-2 in the division and 1-1 in the top 25. The team has UCLA and Arizona State as the top teams in their division and Oregon is in the north and that is one of the teams to watch in the nation.
