The Arsenal Gunners and Leicester City are playing on the Barclays English Premier League schedule on Saturday and the match is live from NBC Sports Network on TV and streaming online from the NBCSN Live Extra at 11 am ET and the game is from King Power Stadium and the Gunners are looking to get things going for Arsene Wenger, as they are fifth in the EPL table standings coming into the matchup.
Arsenal comes into the game as one of the top teams in the Premier League and they are matched up with Leicester City and while they are the favored team, Arsene Wenger said his club will take LC seriously. The team has only earned one point to start things off and Arsenal has four after their win and draw and now they are looking for three and that would put them into the top part of Premier League table.
Leicester City comes into the game after playing tight with Everton on opening weekend and then the team fell to Chelsea in their second matchup 2-0 after playing well most of the match. Arsenal is into the Champions League again and they made it through the playoff against Besiktas and now are in for the 17th straight season and Wenger's club is looking to keep things going. Arsenal comes in after winning the FA Cup last season and that snapped the streak for some hardware and now they have Aaron Ramsey and Sanchez coming in playing well.
Arsenal had a strong season in 2013-14, but many felt they should have been even better, as they were near the top part of the league table for most of the season before falling out. Liverpool and Manchester City vaulted ahead and Chelsea also got past the Gunners and while they won some hardware, they did not get the league title, but they did make it into the Champions League once again. The team is hoping for big things this year and they signed Alexis Sanchez and other players this summer.
Matty James and Matthew Upson will be out and now Arsenal is coming in after making it through the Champions League opening playoff and now Olivier Giroud is dealing with an injury, while Sanchez scored a goal in the last game out. The Foxes showed they can hold up against top competition and while they lost to Chelsea they now have another top team to play against and the Gunners should be able to take this one.
Wenger has a clean record against Leicester in the Premier League and while he was the boss when the team lost in the FA Cup fourth round to them, it was the last time it happened. The team is favored and LC has won just one of their 16 Premier League games against Arsenal and that puts things in their favor as well and the Gunners come back from two goal against Everton to get the draw and they earned a point on the road and now have the chance to move up with a win.
