NCAA Football Top 25 Rankings: College Conference Standings and Records After Week 1

The NCAA college football season is through Week 1 and now the AP Top 25 rankings are set to come out and a number of teams should hold position at the top with Florida State, Alabama, Oregon, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Stanford, Georgia and LSU winning and some of those teams also come in as conference leaders after the first games of the year.

Many teams played easy games to start the season so that likely will not change their spots, but for those who did play tougher games, they may move up a bit. Coming into the season, Florida State, Alabama, Oregon and Oklahoma along with Ohio State were in the top five and that could change a bit this week, but likely not much, as all of those teams won.

The top 10 is filled out with Auburn, UCLA, Michigan State, South Carolina and Baylor and teams like Georgia, Stanford and LSU could move up after solid wins. The Seminoles likely will remain in first place and they come in after a big game and a big win against Oklahoma State that saw Jameis Winston play well. FSU is the favorite for the national title and they could be a big factor this season.

Oregon could move up after demolishing an easy team, while Alabama may slip, but that's kind of dumb, as they played a solid but not great team in West Virginia. While other teams had style points, they played easier teams and now Bama could fall, but likely only slightly. Michigan State had an easy win and so did Oklahoma, while the Bulldogs should be moving up after winning over one of the best teams in the nation in Clemson with a 45-21 score.

Baylor killed SMU and LSU had a tough game with Wisconsin that they were able to pull out. Texas A&M should be in the mix in the top 10 as well after winning over South Carolina, while UCLA had a tough game with Virginia and won. USC put their issues behind them and won for the first game of the season, while Stanford and Notre Dame also emerged with wins.

Some teams had conference games this week, but not too many and to start off, the Big Ten did not have any major games, while Louisville is now 1-0 in the ACC after winning over Miami. The Big 12 did not have any matchups in the conference, while the Pac-12 was also clean this week. The SEC had a couple of games and now Texas A&M is at the top of their division, while Auburn also won and they are 1-0 in the west. The Sec should be very tough once again this season and the Pac-12 also has some very strong teams coming in.
