The Red Bulls have been hanging around the fifth playoff spot all season and they are in sixth place right now on the east table, close to the Philadelphia Union. The eastern conference standings has DC United and Sporting Kansas City in the first two positions, while the Columbus Crew and New England Revolution are up ahead of the Union and Red Bulls. DC is pushing their lead over KC and they are battling with the Seattle Sounders for the top record in the league.
