The Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Indians are playing live on the MLB schedule on Thursday and the AL Central matchup is a big one, as the Indians are in the wild card race and the pitching duel has Corey Kluber and Kyle Gibson matching up and the game opens at 12:05 pm ET for a doubleheader and the second game will be later in the afternoon around 4 pm ET.

The Indians are hanging around in the wild card race like they did last season and now they have the chance to make a jump, as they have two games on Thursday. The team had one rain out and now they will play a doubleheader and with the Seattle Mariners off for the day, the team can make some headway in the standings. The Tigers and Royals are battling for the AL Central and the wild card right now and they have the Mariners, Indians and Yankees all chasing.

Kluber has had a fantastic season and he is 14-9 with a 2.47 Era and if Felix wasn't going to win it, Kluber could be the top Cy Young man this season. The Mariners have been in the mix late in the season and with just a few weeks left, things are getting very tight. The Indians come into the matchup ranked 11^th and 12^th in basically all offensive categories and that means they have been in the mix there, but the pitching staff has not quite been up to par yet.

The two teams face off against each other on Thursday and all of these games are important for the Indians. The team has the chance to stick around in the wild card race and like last season, they could be left standing at the end.
