The NFL schedule for Week 2 opened up Thursday and now the rest of the slate kicks off on Sunday with a number of 1 pm ET games and the TV channel coverage is from FOX and CBS with Miami, Washington, the New England Patriots, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers and NY Giants all in action.
The Baltimore Ravens pushed the Ray Rice scandal aside and won big over the Pittsburgh Steelers for their first win of the season and now they have the Browns coming up in Week 3. The team opens with three straight division games in the AFC North and that makes the win against the Steelers even more important. The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills play a divisional game at 1 pm and the Jacksonville Jaguars will visit Robert Griffin and the Washington football team in Maryland. The Arizona Cardinals are making an east coast trip to the Giants in NY, while the Dallas Cowboys are playing against the Tennessee Titans.
The Giants and the Cardinals are playing on Sunday and the G-Men desperately need to at least get their offense going even if they don't win the game. The Patriots don't want to start 0-2 on the road to open the season and they have the upstart Minnesota Vikings, who beat the rams on Sunday, while the New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns are playing an early game as well.
The Saints and Browns could be a very high scoring game, while the Atlanta Falcons are taking their show on the road to play the Cincinnati Bengals. The Falcons won the game of the weekend with a win against the Saints and now they have another playoff team in the Bengals. The Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions are playing on the early schedule as well and that will be in NC and likely will have Greg Hardy suiting up for the Panthers, so, that's awesome.
The St. Louis Rams and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have the meh game of the late afternoon, as the two teams will battle in TB. The Seattle Seahawks are playing the San Diego Chargers on the road and that comes after the two matched up in the preseason and now the Hawks will be playing for the first time since kicking off the 2014 slate.
The Jets and Green Bay Packers have a spotlight later in the day as well and they kick off at the same time as the Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders. The Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos have one of the best matchups of the day and that leads into the late game. The Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers are in the late game on Sunday night and that will be on NBC from the newly built Levi's Stadium.
The Monday night football game on ESPN will be the Eagles visiting the Colts in Indianapolis. The Eagles come in after getting a nice win against the Jaguars, while the Colts lost to the Denver Broncos to open up their season.
