Thursday Night Football Schedule: TV Start Time and Channel For Atlanta Falcons and Buccaneers Game

The Thursday night football schedule on CBS picks up with an NFL Week 3 game between the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers and that will be from the Georgia Dome at 8:25 pm ET and it will be airing on the NFL Network and on CBS as Matt Ryan and Julio Jones try and bounce back from a loss last weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Falcons opened the season with an exciting win against the New Orleans Saints and that led into the Cincy game, which was a complete disaster on the road. The team is now 1-1 and they are trying to bounce back from a terrible season in 2013 that saw the Falcons deal with more injuries than anyone in the league. This is the second game for CBS on Thursday night this season and it comes after the Baltimore Ravens won over the Pittsburgh Steelers last week.

The Falcons come in after getting beaten soundly by the Bengals and now they have the chance to return home after winning over the Saints in overtime. The team has their second division game in three weeks and after coming to Atlanta for this game, the Falcons have road trips in three of the next four weeks, including a visit to the Ravens in Baltimore. The team plays the Minnesota Vikings after this matchup and then they hit the road again to play the NY Giants at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants beat the Falcons at home on their way to the Super Bowl last time they won it and now they will have a rematch ahead of the lone home game in that stretch for the Falcons. After hosting the Bears the team has the Ravens and then they will play against the Detroit Lions before heading into their bye week. Coming out of the bye the team has two straight road games against the Buccaneers and the Panthers and then the team comes home to play the Browns and the Cardinals.

The Falcons have a tough end to the season with the Packers on the road for Monday night football and then they have a stretch with the Steelers, Saints and Panthers to finish the year.
