Fantasy Free Agent Pick Ups Week 3: Ahmad Bradshaw, Lamar Miller, Donald Brown, James Jones, Brian Quick Options

The fantasy football schedule is here for Week 3 and some late free agent pick ups to start this weekend include Ahmad Bradshaw, Brian Quick, Donald Brown, James Jones, Kirk Cousins, Niles Paul, Zach Ertz and Lamar Miller, as those players are coming off of good weeks or their teams are dealing with injuries and they have the chance to step up for FF owners.

The fantasy football season is still in the early goings, but making the playoffs can be decided in these three weeks for owners going 2-1 or 1-2 and these players could end up making that difference. Ahmad Bradshaw likely will take over for Trent Richardson as the number one back for the time being and that makes him a valuable pickup and he started off with a nice game last week on Monday night. Lamar Miller has been elevated with the injury to Knowshon Moreno and he will be there for at least a month as the RB deals with an elbow injury.

Brian Quick and Donald Brown had solid games this past week and could be solid options in deeper leagues. The Rams have a QB issue but they have to throw the ball to someone, while Brown should step up with Danny Woodhead with the injury to Ryan Mathews. James Jones in another solid pickup at WR and he has emerged as the top threat with the Raiders and should stay there over Denarius Moore.

The Washington Redskins are dealing with injuries and that makes Kirk Cousins and Niles Paul solid options to start, as both Robert Griffin III and Jordan Reed are out. RG3 will be out for multiple weeks and Reed seems to have a lingering injury so both these players are worth taking a look at. Zach Ertz has emerged as a solid tight end option and he could be a good pickup this week along with Travis Kelce from the Chiefs. Knile Davis is the top pickup option for the week with Jamaal Charles injured and he is coming in after having a big game last week against the Broncos, replacing Charles after he was injured.

Jordan Reed is out with a hamstring issue and that makes Paul a very solid start and it comes after he had a good game last week for the Redskins. Paul has been off to a good start this season with 12 catches for 185 yards and one touchdown and he had a very nice TD grab soon after Kirk Cousins took over for Robert Griffin. Paul may end up as the starter for an extended period of time, as Reed has a hamstring injury and those often can linger for players.

Bradshaw looks like he will be the top back for the near future over Richardson and that was evidenced by the way he played on Monday night football. Bradshaw looked much better in the offense and ended up with 70 yards on 13 carries and he also added five catches for 26 yards and two touchdowns and that is a part of his game that could be big moving forward. Bradshaw now has 10 catches this season and two touchdowns and he also has 85 yards on the ground to average over 5.0 yards per carry and if he keeps doing that, Richardson will remain second string for Andrew Luck.
