Fantasy Waivers Week 4: Niles Paul, DeAndre Hopkins, Cordarrelle Patterson, Larry Donnell, Pierre Thomas, Zach Ertz Free Agent Options

The fantasy football waiver wire for Week 4 has some very solid pickups around the league, as Niles Paul, Zach Ertz, DeAndre Hopkins, Keenan Allen, Larry Donnell, Cordarrelle Patterson, Pierre Thomas, Terrance West, Alfred Blue, Delanie Walker and Owen Daniels all could be free agent options for owners this week, as they have the potential to put up numbers based on injuries and matchups for their teams.

The waiver wire can be a gift or a curse depending on how many moves each team has made and this week Paul, Donnell, Travis Kelce and Owen Daniels are solid tight end pickup options. Kelce had a strong game last week and so did Paul and he should stay in the starting lineup for a bit while Jordan Reed deals with his hamstring injury. Donnell has emerged as the top tight end option for the Giants and apart from Victor Cruz, he looks like the best starter for New York and Eli Manning. The team is hoping he can keep up the production from his strong start.

Pierre Thomas already was the main back for the New Orleans Saints and now he will get even more of a boost with Mark Ingram out. Ingram had been off to a strong start this season and he is out with a hand injury and that means Thomas and Robinson will be getting more carries. Cordarrelle Patterson has been excellent for the Vikings to start the season and he has proven to be a must start player with the skills that he has going and he should be an option this week as well.

DeAndre Hopkins has also emerged as a number one receiver option with Andre Johnson and while is a bit banged up, he is a player to watch going forward this season. Hopkins has a great matchup this week with the Giants and he is a must start player as long as he is healthy. The Giants are down a starting corner and that will be a tough matchup for the team and he comes in after scoring once again last week. Hopkins already has seven catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns this season and he is coming off of a solid game with three catches for 22 yards and a touchdown in the win for the Texans.

Niles Paul is going to get some strong looks moving forward and that is due to the fact that Jordan Reed is injured and he could be sidelined for a little while with a hamstring injury. Paul made an impact right away with Kirk Cousins coming in for RG3 and he had a nice TD grab and he should be emerging as the number one tight end option with Reed out. Paul had 86 yards in Week 1 and he is coming off of eight receptions and 99 yards against the Jaguars and he led the team in receptions.

Thomas had a down game last week, but he is looking to bounce back in Week 3 and he is a strong start. The Giants want to keep getting the ball to Donnell and he came through in Week 2 with seven catches for 81 yards to lead the team and that came after his Week 1 game with five catches for 56 yards and one touchdown.
