The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions are playing live on the NFL schedule for Week 3 of the season and the NFC North matchup comes from Ford Field at 1 pm ET on FOX as Aaron Rodgers and Matthew Stafford go head to head within the division and everyone is 1-1 and looking to take advantage.
The Packers have dominated the Lions with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback and apart from that loss last year on Thanksgiving, Green Bay has killed in Detroit and now they will try again. The team is coming off of a comeback win against the New York Jets and now they are looking for sole possession of first place in the division. The team is coming in after a loss to the Seahawks to open the season and after this matchup they have another divisional game against the Chicago Bears.
The Packers have a tough schedule to open up the season with three of four games on the road and that includes the Seahawks, Lions and Bears away with just the Jets game at home. The team also has a stretch right there with three of four on the road again with Miami coming up and before that the team hosts the Vikings in their third straight division game on the road on Thursday night football. The team heads into the bye week with games against two playoff teams from last season, including the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints.
The Packers second half schedule has a stretch of four games at home in five weeks after the tough first half, but those games will not be easy either. The team comes out of the bye with the Chicago Bear and Philadephia Eagles next at home, while the Minnesota Vikings will be the road game in Week 12 after the first two games after the bye week.
